Honeymoon Island, FL

It was a steaming hot afternoon when I hefted the camera gear onto my back and trekked out from the parking lot. I was grateful for my straw hat and sunglasses and the fact that light was abundant on this day. Hiking over sand and, being that it was high tide, ducking through the “above mean high tide” paths was quite a challenge. Seeing the combination of palmetto, sea grape and sea oats in the same patch of sand drew me in to this spot. The clouds billowing up over the Gulf of Mexico made for a perfect composition.
