On this trip to Hillsborough River State Park, I hiked a little upstream from the rapids and was captivated by a cabbage palm stretching gracefully over the river. As I set up my camera to capture the scene, I noticed a snake basking on the tree. This unexpected encounter added a thrilling element to the serene composition.
