In December 2013, my brother and I were paddling the northern portion of the Wilderness Waterway known as the Ten Thousand Islands.  As we crossed Oyster Bay, we passed a dead mangrove on a shallow oyster bar.  A cold front was passing and the wind and clouds were rapidly changing.  This was aiding our paddling journey but made taking the picture difficult.  We jumped out into the cold water and got the camera set up.  Timing the shot between waves and gusts, I was able to capture this image.  Within minutes, the front passed and the clouds cleared.

The Wilderness Waterway is a 99 mile water route through Everglades National Park from Everglades City to Flamingo.
